1. Avoid carrying sharp objects within the children’s playground to prevent injuries during play.
2. Prior to opening each day, inspect the play system thoroughly for debris, loose fasteners, and other potential hazards. Clean and remove any litter or debris.
3. Regularly check the play system equipment for safety concerns such as loose or protruding bolts, missing hardware, damaged equipment, tears, or broken parts.
4. Perform routine maintenance, including the replacement of certain parts like post padding, netting, vinyl components, and balls.
5. Ensure there are no pinch points, sharp edges, rough surfaces, or entanglements in accessible areas of the play system equipment.
6. Verify the integrity and security of tube entry ring pads.
1. Verify the security of all fastenings. Check for any hazards, including broken parts or debris, on or around the equipment.
2. Ensure adequate ground clearance levels are maintained.
3. Confirm that foundations are not exposed.
4. Inspect for sharp edges, missing parts, excessive wear on moving parts, and structural soundness of the equipment.
1. Perform checks as listed in Routine Inspection points 1-4.
Inspect all structures and frameworks for signs of bending, warping, cracking, loosening, or breaking.
2. Examine fixed equipment to ensure components are not bent, broken, loosened, worn, or missing.
3. Confirm the absence of sharp points or protrusions.
4. Check for any damage or corrosion on welds.
5. Verify that exposed mechanisms and moving components are free to move without signs of wear or binding.
6. Ensure guards or protective devices are in place, not missing, bent, or broken, and have no loose components.
